ONE MAN TANGO
Continuing the memoir that began in The Original Sin, Anthony Quinn describes his life from age twenty-five to the present, discussing his Hollywood career, celebrity friendships, and his son's death.
A MESSAGE FROM DANIEL PAISNER:
“One of my favorite books, with one of my favorite celebrity subjects. Tony Quinn was a great teller of tales, a larger-than-life personality who could fill a room with bluster, bravado and good cheer. When I finished the first draft of the manuscript and sent it off to him for note and comment, I waited for the longest time to hear back. A month went by, then two. I started to think he wasn’t happy with the material. Finally, after about three months, he called me up from somewhere in New Zealand, where he was shooting the television series “Hercules,” with Kevin Sorbo - one of Tony’s final roles. I’d been eager for his call. “Dan,” he said, from half a world away. “Tony Quinn here. I’ve been through the book. Too many ‘fucks’. You’ve got me cursing like a fuckin’ sailor.” And that was that.
